Andrea Ragsdale
Oak & Vale owner, Andrea Ragsdale, has always had a love for design and the creative arts. After earning a degree in architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture and working in the engineering field, she took time off to raise her children. Now she is utilizing her design skills to make scented candles that are luxurious, clean burning, and visually minimalistic, complimenting different interior decors. Starting from the desire to create candles to burn in her own home that were both paraffin-free and beautiful, she has carefully curated a sophisticated line of scents that delight her customers.

Ava Rodrigues
Ava Rodrigues is a marketer and designer with a passion for art and community. With a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing, Ava started her first corporate job while still attending CCSU. However, after 10 years of working in social media marketing, event planning and graphic design, she realized that sitting at a desk was not for her. In 2015, Ava quit her corporate job to pursue a creative career that allowed her to be home while her children were little. Today, Ava is the proud owner of Party Your World, a business that creates artful party decor. Her goal is not only to provide beautifully designed party decor, but to create a company that provides a similar opportunity to working mothers. Ava believes that women should be fulfilled creatively and financially while maintaining a flexible schedule that works for their families and mental health.

Bethany Meyer is a woodworker specializing in tables, shelving, and Connecticut-themed decorative wooden items. She has a degree in Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. It was her passion for architectural model making that developed into a love of building her own furniture. Once friends started requesting custom pieces, her side hobby became B Meyer Studio, and has been evolving ever since. She works out of her studio in Hamden with her intern, a little dog named Oscar Meyer.

Betsy O’Reilly recently celebrated a milestone birthday and upon reflecting what the next decade was to bring she decided it must be filled with love and light and a sense of peacefulness. Formerly New Beginnings Sea Glass, Love&Light Glass Art grew from her love of lighthouses and their quiet symbolism of guidance, comfort, hope, and illumination. Although her first love was creating with Seaglass, she has now fallen in love with stained glass, where light, color, and meaning come together. Betsy’s passion for living a life full of love and light lives on through stained glass, where every piece is designed to uplift, comfort, and connect us.

Cari Pierides, owner of Treehugger Creations, designs quirky upcycled fabric bags and purses. She learned to sew at a young age while growing up in the farm lands of Ohio. Her focus on upcycled materials started when she realized she was searching for weird, unique, vintage, fabric in stores and could find none. As a life long thrifter and conservationist, Cari starting rethinking her definition of fabric and discovered that with a little imagination a thrift store was just like a fabric store. Cari works from her home studio in Meriden, CT and shares life's adventures with her husband.

Carol Mann is a potter who was smitten and fell in love with the bees when she was a beekeeper. She designs bee inspired, joyful and functional everyday pieces she hopes will make you smile with each use. When she is not in her studio she likes to make time to enjoy all the sweet things in life and can be found hiking all the glorious trails in Connecticut with her husband Mark, and sweet yellow lab Bella.

Christiane Kratzsch is the artist behind the small label Just Clay by Christiane. Born and raised in Germany, Christiane always had a thing for everything artsy and crafty. She got a Master’s degree in Art Education and History and enjoyed working with kids of all ages. She now lives with her husband, her 3 kids and her cat in Unionville, CT. In 2021, her middle child's mental health crisis rocked her world and she found an outlet in working with polymer clay. She spends every spare minute in her already full day to create her pieces in her little studio... her happy place. Christiane's earrings are simple and elegant, sometimes playful, but always a statement.

Colleen Berry Conway is the owner and primary artist of Ogham Art where she offers unique Irish gifts inspired by the Celts. Her creations include art, jewelry and home decor featuring the ancient alphabet of Ogham. Her work also incorporates the Celtic symbols and knotwork found in the monuments and manuscripts of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Ogham Art has allowed Colleen to dive into ancient history and morph it with modern presentation. The Ogham Art home studio is located in Southington where Colleen resides with her husband Chris and their son Desmond.

Corrin Zareck
Corrin Zareck of WithLove believes in using reclaimed materials within her designs. WithLove began after Corrin and her husband, Andy, completed renovating their "hoarder home.” With the love of turning trash into treasure, she began designing and creating custom handmade home decor items using materials found within Connecticut. The rest was history. WithLove evolved into mobile workshops and Corrin continued her love for reclaimed materials through fine art and curating interior spaces. She is the curator at Art Gallery at Mill located in Unionville and teaches art fulltime with a Masters Degree in Art Education.

Cyn Thomas is the illustrator, designer and pattern maker of RiverDog Prints (RDP), celebrating the beasts in your bungalow. Her focus in 2019 and beyond is shifting from making handmade products into licensing her art and illustrations. She works in her basement studio in Avon, when she's not cooking, canning, reading, or celebrating five o'clock. Erika Burling is the owner of Knots on Euclid. The name comes from the street she currently resides at in Fairfield, CT “Euclid Ave” where she lives with her husband, son, and puppy. As a lifelong crafter dabbling in sewing, embroidery, and knitting, macrame was a natural next step. Being trapped indoors during the pandemic learning macrame was accelerated given the amount of time she was able to devote to it. Her work is described as mixing modern designs with vintage vibes to create functional macrame pieces. She works primarily sustainable materials since she does not want contribute more waste to the environment.

Lakisher Hurst is the founder of Sassy Black Yarns, a veteran-owned hand-dyed yarn company based in Manchester, known for bold colorways and “yarn with attitude.” Her yarn journey started in 1998 while she was stationed in Seoul, Korea, when she toured a yarn mill and fell in love with the process—color, fiber, and all the possibilities in between. Like most good love stories, it had to pause for real life… until 2009, when she wanted to make her son a newborn blanket and realized she didn’t know how. She signed up for a crochet class at JoAnn Fabrics, learned the basics, and never looked back. Today, Lakisher dyes vibrant yarn, curates seasonal collections and club-style releases, and builds community around making—because creativity should feel joyful, welcoming, and a little bit sassy.

Lori Meehan, the metalsmith and designer behind LMM Design, creates handcrafted jewelry using 24K gold, fine silver, silver, copper, and gemstones. Looking for a creative release while working in the hectic NYC television industry, she discovered the art of making jewelry. A few years later her love (addiction) for working with metal began. Much of her creativity and designs are inspired by nature. Says Lori, “I enjoy the process of taking a flat piece of metal or a straight piece of wire and creating shapes, forms, textures and sculptures.”

Oddette Staple-Brown
Oddette Staple-Brown, founder and owner of Oh D’Luxe Candle Company, is originally from sunny Jamaica and migrated to the US in 2009. Her husband Sefton, who helps out with the business also hails from Jamaica, but they met here at a July 4th barbecue. Even though she possesses degrees in Business Administration and Human Resource Management, Oddette is at her best when she gets the chance to create. As a lover of fragrances, Oddette long had the desire to create her own, but time was scarce until the 2020 pandemic, when time was all she had. She then revisited the idea of making her own eco-friendly candles that could fill a room and her candle company was born.

Little Bee of CT is a family-owned apiary in Southbury, started by Scott Priore. The premise of Little Bee: provide locally-produced products from the hive and educate customers on what we can all do to help support honey bee survival. Stephanie Haines
Stephanie’s passion for ceramics began while studying sculpture at Montserrat College of Art in 2002 where she enjoyed exploring the contrast of organic and architectural forms. Her work since has turned towards functional ceramics with a focus on texture and pattern. Current works incorporate the use of bright colored underglaze carved and scratched away to create texture and depth. Stephanie currently divides her time between her small studio in Manchester and teaching at several community studios in the surrounding area. Her approach to teaching focuses on understanding the individual needs of each of her students and how they learn. Within this model she believes in developing a strong technical foundation that honors the history of the craft while also helping students to push their creative boundaries.

Suzanne Aberg established MudJoy Pottery in 2014 in Glastonbury, CT. MudJoy is artisanal pottery leveraging repurposed items and textures from nature. This beautiful functional ware is handcrafted using brown or white stoneware, each with a unique design and made to deliver joy! Additional inspiration comes from travel, the surrounding New England environment and random creative whimsy!

Illustrator Suzanne Urban of SuzanneUrbanArt lends her witty character driven illustrations to create unique products. She's sold her work at locally as well as nationally and continues to accept commissions for small scale mural work and paintings. Fervently committed to her witty muse, Suzanne creates from her cozy studio housed in an eclectically furnished antique home (circa 1664) where she resides with her husband, maltipoo and Calico cat.

Taylor Martone
Taylor Martone is the co-owner of Daydream Made (formerly Taylor Martone Art) along with her husband Jeff. Daydream Made is based out of Vernon, available to shop full time online or at The Bristol Bazaar, and locally through market events. Taylor is a local elementary teacher and UConn Alumni. Together with their daughter, Lila, they find job in many creative hobbies, UConn Basketball, and traveling.
Tracy Weed
Tracy Weed of The Tiny Wren has been crafting since she could hold a pair of scissors, and is thrilled to be able to turn her passion into a small business. A die hard romantic, Tracy’s work is heavily influenced by the Victorian era, and she loves to take vintage jewelry that is broken or otherwise unwearable and rework it into new designs so that it can be loved again. Tracy is also a historical romance writer, photographer, costumer, and actress. She lives in West Hartford with four furry quality control officers.
